John Erickson (trainer) has been working with dogs for over 4 years.
John met our head trainer, Eric, while he was working as a dog walker.
His love of dogs was immediately apparent so Eric took him under his wing.
John’s dedication to dogs was clear from the start. He worked at our sister company, Happy Paws, for two years before pursuing his formal dog training education.
John is a graduate of the Karen Pryor Clicker Training Foundations Training School.He has attended seminars by renowned trainers Ken Ramirez and Sue Sternberg and in his spare time he enjoys reading every dog training book possible.
John’s first training client was his own reactive pit-mix, Remy.
Through John’s time and dedication Remy went from being unable to encounter other dogs on leash to becoming John’s favorite hiking buddy.
On weekends they can now be found exploring the many trails that DC has to offer with Remy navigating the crowds like a pro! John’s can do attitude and ability to find the positive in any situation has made him the perfect addition to the Puptagon team.
